Engagement | Alyx & Jordan

Oh goodness, where do I begin with these two!? Alyx and Jordan… have got to be some of the most ideal clients I’ve ever worked with. They like pretty things, they listen to my advice and they couldn’t have picked a prettier place to get married (and have their engagement session)! They are tying the knot next May at Morning Glory Farm, just east of Charlotte. Guys, I cannot sing the praises of this place enough!! It’s SO pretty, and has an abundance of spots to take photos. The grounds are landscaped organically, with their undone perfection… the goats are adorable, the horses and cows are perfect backdrops and the winding paths through the trees, impeccable. See their full gallery here and order prints! (20% off the first week!) Images are mostly film: Bronica ETRS, Portra 400 & 800, developed and scanned by The FIND Lab Digital: Nikon D750 Alyx’s makeup: Bailey Upchurch White Dress: Show me your Mumu

Portrait | 2016 Review

Since last week I shared my 2016 wedding review… it was only fitting that today I share my portrait review! I’ve loved getting to peek into couples and families lives though their portrait sessions. From engagements, to new babies… this year had it all. Just a little reminder, too…. if you know someone having a baby between now and March 1, I’m offering 25% off their session fee! I’ve also worked out a shiny new baby package guide… for those looking to capture all those first year milestones 🙂

Couple | Ian & Radhika

A few weeks ago we teamed up with Radian Photography of Durham for a session at Ft. Fisher. I LOVE shooting down there, but this particular night, the light was so soft and pretty. Normally, shooting on the beach with no shade offers you slimmer opportunities for directions to shoot… but not that night. Just the right amount of clouds gave us endless opportunities. We’ll be back this weekend, if anyone is interested in a session! Why not knock out that Christmas card photo while you still have a tan!?

Engagement | Melanie & Kyle

I was over the moon when my oldest friend got engaged… and then asked me to shoot the wedding (and engagement!). Kyle used to sell boats, and many of their dates when they started dating involved the lake… so we started at the Peninsula Club. We then left there and went to their wedding venue… Green Gables Farm. Love this venue and cannot wait to photograph their wedding there!
