Senior | Hannah

Hannah and I met up in Davidson to wonder and photograph her in both pretty places around town and spots that are special to her…. her employer, Ben & Jerry’s as well as her church, Davidson United Methodist. Best wishes at USC and all the traveling your bound to do!

Portrait | Beach

Hi All! Hope you’re tolerating the rain well today. At least it’s warm! ….dreading tomorrow. I know many people are already planning their summer vacations so if you’re headed near Pleasure Island this year, consider having a portrait session done! Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Ft. Fisher) is easily accessible from Southport & Wilmington…. and even just an easy drive down from the Triangle area for the day. While I do not take weddings on holiday weekends, I will take the occasional portrait session! I’ve released a few dates that I know I will be available for sessions. These can be used for bridals, engagements, or family sessions. These sessions can be shot at sunrise or sunset, but honestly- I’d rather do them at sunrise. The beaches are empty and the temperatures are much cooler (and you avoid the common summer thunderstorm!). Kristin & Jonathan did theirs at sunrise last summer… it was breezy and perfect! Interested? Book yours today!

Portraits | 2011 Review

As promised, I’ve followed yesterday’s 2011 wedding review with our portraits 🙂 I really love doing portrait sessions, they’re so much more relaxed than a wedding day. We get to chit-chat and get to know our clients a bit better. While I really feed off the energy of a wedding day, the slower pace of portrait sessions are so nice! I included our bridals in here, as we consider them a “portrait” session….. I didn’t have bridals done when we got married, but I SO wish I had! It really allows you to try out your hair/makeup/shoes/jewels…. all together with that fabulous dress. ***I’ve been thinking about giving away a bridal session to our next bride we book….. would anyone be interested 😉 ????     Thank you all for making our 2011 extra special!   PS…. did you notice that little one in the bottom left corner??? I haven’t blogged her yet, but she’s the newest addition to the Horton family! Jeremy’s sister had her the week before Christmas, Anna Beth Avery 🙂
