Boudoir | Announcement!!

Since doing two boudoir shoots myself for Jeremy (one wedding gift, one birthday gift)….. I knew it was something I wanted to offer to my clients. It’s an experience you just can’t replicate anywhere else… you’ll feel so sexy, beautiful and confident!  Dana was my most recent shoot! I wanted to try and think ahead this year, and offer a boudoir weekend in November, where for a reduced rate you can have a session in time for a Valentines Day gift! But it’s only JULY! Well…. perhaps you’ve been wanting to tone up and this can give you motivation, or perhaps you just like to shop till you drop for the perfect outfit….AND… this way, your Valentines Day shopping is D.O.N.E. before Christmas! How awesome is that?!?! So here’s the skinny…. November 19 & 20 ONLY 4 spots available (2 each day) 2 SPOTS LEFT on Saturday! At a Charlotte hotel (either The Blake or The Sierra) room use is included in price 3 outfit changes (that you provide) Hair & makeup included A flushmount album to give to your significant other on Valentines DayCD of edited images Price: $575 So…. grab your BFF and be pampered for a day! Boudoir | Dana

I’ve been DYING to share a few of Dana’s boudoir photos! She originally did them as a birthday present for him to be given to him later this year…. but when he surprised her with a proposal & beautiful engagement ring on vacation in Florida, she decided to make it an engagement present! She gave him his album of images, so I finally get to share a few! We shot them in their beautiful home in Charlotte. I’d been dying to do a hot kitchen scene & she was nice enough to play along…. yes…. she went all out for a pair of Louboutins! Interested in a boudoir shoot??? Email me for details 🙂 I’m planning a weekend in November to host 4 girls in Charlotte!

Goals | June 2011

Lookie Lookie! A goals post that’s actually the first day of the month! Wow. June. This summer is going to be toasty. It’s already in the upper 90’s here. Yikes! Well…. lets look back at May goals….. 1. Blog 2 weddings I 2nd shot in April  Didn’t happen…. WILL happen in June! 2. Edit & blog Emma Rae’s pony pics Didn’t happen….. WILL happen in June! 3. Shoot Catey & Michael’s engagement DONE! 4. Do a boudoir shoot this weekend! YAY! DONE! 5. Take family photos on Mothers Day at Christ Community Church DONE! 6. Continue looking at office spaces in downtown Davidson…. yep, hopefully moving my office out of the house & into town! No more lugging albums around to every Starbucks in town for consults! Signed a lease & am moving in!! 7. Shoot & blog a surprise wedding we have booked on the 14th Shot & edited… now to blog it! 8. Complete a photographers shoot out on Memorial Day weekend DONE! 9. Enjoy a little down time Hmmm maybe a tiny bit…. but it was spent cleaning my house….. 10. Have a special dinner out with Jeremy to celebrate his new job. DONE! Yummy Del Friscos! 11. Stalk the UPS guy for my new Finao sample album 🙂  DONE! Love it!!12. Come up with a better filing system Eh… working on it with the move into the office 13. Invest in an online backup source.  Doing asap! OK…. June goals! 1. Finish moving in the office 2. Blog 2 weddings from April 3. Blog Jessica & Hunter’s May 14th wedding 4. Blog Catey & Michaels engagement 5. Blog Emma Rae & Wiggles 6. Photograph Laura’s Bridals at Duke Mansion 7. Order prints to hang in the new office 8. Get frames for said prints 9. Stalk the FedEx truck for my new sample canvas 10. Maybe start working on a new KISS sample album 11. Finish painting office 12. Blog photos from shoot out with other photographers 13. Wait patiently for Mary Jo’s cloth store to call me and tell me my curtain fabric is in 14. Find white denim & have my wingback chair reupholstered in it. 15. Hope & pray West Elm calls me about my sofa going on sale 16. Relax with friends before July is CRAZY! (lots of traveling & 3 weddings!)17. File quarterly taxes by June 30…. (I feel like I JUST did this…. ugh!)  A peek at the latest Boudoir……

Boudoir: Miss K

Boudoir photography is a direction I desperately want to take this business… it’s beautiful, empowering, fun, self confidence boosting,and let’s face it… your Sweetie can’t complain!! Miss K was kind enough to be my first model… and WHOA… couldn’t have asked for a prettier, sweeter girl, with a better body!She’s smokin’ hot and just a doll. We had a great time hanging out on Saturday!
