Personal: 4th of July!

For the last 2 years Jeremy and I have jumped in our car and headed to Wilmington to celebrate the 4th of July. Our first year we camped out at the north end of Carolina Beach in Jeremy’s old Suburban. It was an experience I won’t soon forget. Last year we booked a very quaint bed and breakfast in downtown Wilmington! It was so cute and cozy…. but had the strangest inn keeper ever! This year we did something different. We drove to Wilmington on Friday to 1) meet one of our lovely September couples to check out their wedding and reception sites, and to take some engagement photos! (look for them on here very soon!) and 2) so Jeremy could check out our piece of property on Carolina Beach!! Since he’ll be on the deed with me, I figured he ought to see it! ha! Then we made a quick stop to see my sister and her family, then made the long, late drive home. We’ve been very lazy, and we’ve loved it!Here’s how we spent our 4th! Ballparks on the grill! We played rummy for hours on our front porch. And he beat me…. 🙁 Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

How Sweet Is She?!?!?!

Just poking around on the internet last night and saw this! Ashley was sweet enough to include a little shout out to us on her blog! Love her!! Happy 4th Everyone!! We are having a super crazy Friday, followed by a very lazy/relaxing/peaceful Saturday, Sunday and Monday…. As soon as I leave my office in about 10 minuets I have an appointment, then we are hightailing it down to Wilmington to meet with one of our September bride & grooms, then heading straight back to Charlotte tonight…. I can’t wait!!:-)

Maternity: Aeriel’s Baby Shower!

Aeriel and I met because of Jeremy. He lived in the same apartment complex as Aeriel and her hubby Matt. We’ve gotten to be great friends with them, and were delighted to find out they were expecting a little one! A couple of weeks ago I attended Aeriel’s fabulous baby shower, and of course, brought along the camera. I tried not to be camera crazy, but wanted to get a few good shots of the party 🙂 Adorable Invites. She received many wonderful gifts- including 2 super soft blankets! The ladies in her family collect tea cups, so naturally, there was a tea cup gift. They love some piggies! Damn, I hope I look this good when I’m pregnant!!! Then it was game time….. guess how old Aeriel is in each photo… And… how far can YOU spit a pacifier? Time for cake! I love that it matches the invites! It was super yummy almond flavored from Edible Art. Then one last game of “What Size is the New Mommy’s Tummy?” Congrats Matt & Aeriel, we can’t wait to meet Spud!! 🙂
